A series Studio strobes /monolights / flashes
The ZT-A series of studio flash units are designed to meet the requirements of professional photographers who require reliability, robust construction and ease of operation.
Along with its tough exterior die-cast aluminium body, and no-nonsense controls the A series has advanced electronic circuitry to protect against overheating and ensure consistent power output from the capasitors. The A series offers 1/10th F~stop controls over 5 stages - 40 different settings over its power range. This feature does away with the old way of buying flash heads in a variety of power ranges. Remember, we used to do that to balance the power on the generator. Most professionals today buy units with a large capacity, then dial them down to the power required for the light's position in the lighting scheme.
Features include:
- Imported Heiman/Perkin Elmar (Germany) flash tubes ensure better colour temperature accuracy and limited color change over time (a common problem in other tubes). 5600˚K +/- 100˚K
- User changeable flash tube.
- High quality Japanese flash capacitors and built in stabilization circuitry ensures stable and accurate flash output.
- Low trigger voltage (4.3Volts) and a specially designed isolation transformer ensures protection of your digital cameras.
- Fan cooled for extra protection.
- Built in slave cell
- Built in infra red slave cell
- Radio slave trigger ready
- Die-cast robust aluminum body - really tough. Unpretentious battleship grey electrocoated finish.
- Tough push button controls with LED guides. Easy to feel, quick to learn, for that all important one hand operation in the dark.
- Digital power dial readout in 1/40th scale over the range. Easy to remember or jot down EXACTLY what setting you used.
- 250W halogen modelling lamp.
- Control modelling lamp output over the entire range seperately from flash output, OR synched with flash output, or switch it off when not needed.
- Re-charge indication either with LED lamp or with a beep (sound), or switch that beep off when required.
- Recharge in 1~3 seconds
- Auto power dump when decreasing flsh output to ensure your next shot is at the correct setting. Also protects capasitor.
- Suitable for analog or digital cameras
- Circuit bord and microprocessor control prevents typical wire-aging problems of older technology flashes.
- Dials on back of unit for ease of operation and ease of storing. No broken touch-pad controls when packing your units up. No more moving the flash head with one-handed operation because of side-mounted push-pad dials. This is a sensible and practical well designed professional tool.
- S-type bayonet reflector and softbox mount (same as Bowens)
- Umbrella slot
- Carry handle in back for balanced carrying and easy flash tilting on stand.
- Robust light-stand sockets, screw clamp and lever clamp.
- Weighs about 5kg or 11 lbs. This is not a sissy flash and requires a robust light stand with a minimum of 8kg (18 lbs) rating.
- First class accesories available for this series available from the store.
- Included with unit : modeling lamp, flash tube, power cable, sync cable, synch cable plug adapter (just in case you need to plug in to a larger/smaller diameter), protective cap for travel and storage, English instruction manual.
